Our volunteers take seniors to their doctor appointments, business appointments, to church, to the grocery store, drop off and pick up prescriptions, and help them with just about any other errands they need to complete.  However, we are not just a "transportation" service, because we stay with the senior throughout the entire outing.

Often times our volunteers have been there when many of our seniors struggle after being diagnosed with various types of cancer and need a hug or a shoulder to cry on we are there to assist them every step of the way.  We strive to become the seniors "daughter" or "son" for the day. The DFTD servicing area includes Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C
