Our DFTD Song

Text Box: This POEM was written by one of our Seniors

Text Box: Each was different, yet the same.
I had to pinch myself to see
If this were really true.
How could these lovely, precious ones
Be so resourceful, too?
How could they give up so much time,
To one they never knew?
I’ll tell you how - they love the Lord,
So they love people too!
Let’s praise the Daughters for the Day
And sons, their counterparts!
For as they work together,
They produce this state of the art.
To whom did God give vision
For this great ministry?
Does Tonja Lark's name come to mind?
I'm sure we all agree
She is to be applauded
For her leadership, and the
We say, "Congratulations
To the ladies and the men!"
Happy First Anniversary!
Text Box: Some of the sweetest words I know
That anyone can say are,
“Hello, Mrs. Turner.
I’m your daughter for the day.”
The sound I hear is marvelous!
It’s music to my ears,
Such loving, caring friendly folks
Just drive away my fears.
You see, I’m sometimes lonely
Or just plain bored.
It’s then I take my Bible out
and read it to the Lord.
Then Jesus sends his angels down
to keep me in their care,
Though I can’t see them, yet I know
Our Lord and they are there.
At other times, the angels do
Appear to be the ones
who look like daughters for the day
Or kindly, helpful sons.
The first new daughter whom I met,
Yes, Dorian was her name,
And Sherry, and then Jackie.
